How we rank wedding vendors.

Most directories hide their ranking logic because there isn't any. Ours is public, fixed, and weighted toward what couples actually care about.

The five factors

    Verified reviews

    Rating × log(review count). Requires minimum 10 reviews to qualify.

    Years in business

    From business registration or first verifiable client work.

    Response time

    Median time to first response on inquiries sent through our platform.

    Award recognition

    Major industry awards and editorial features from the last 3 years.

  • 15%

    Portfolio depth

    Range of documented weddings, from intimate to 200+ guests.

Refresh cadence

Ratings and review counts refresh monthly. Awards lists update once a year, published in January. Response time rolls as a 90-day moving median.

Vendors who join mid-year compete immediately on verified reviews and response time. They can't game the system by having recent weddings weighted more heavily than established shops.

What we don't accept

Paid placement to influence the ranking. Featured slots exist, they're clearly labeled, and they appear in a dedicated row that doesn't shift the main list.

Review trading between vendors. If we catch it, the vendor comes off the directory for the remainder of the year.

Reviews we can't verify. We cross-check against public platforms and flag discrepancies before publishing.
